Our Daily Schedule

A sense of security is fostered in the young child with the observance of predictable rhythms. When a child knows what to expect during a given season, on a given day, or at a given time, he or she is empowered and reassured.

The rhythms of the year are observed as we celebrate festivals that center on the wonders of nature and the changing of the seasons, such as Harvest Day in November and the welcoming of spring in March. We encourage families to share their own special celebrations with the class as well. Birthdays are also special days at Morning Glory Preschool.

Mondays and Tuesdays are dedicated to cooking and baking activities, while Wednesdays and Thursdays are devoted to arts and crafts. Our daily rhythms include the blessing we share at meals, the song we sing at clean-up time, and the verse we say as we wash our hands. The predictable unfolding of events throughout the day is an important element of our program.
